Sights in Tiers

Tiers, your holiday destination, has numerous sights just waiting to be discovered!

The Cyprianerhof, your home away from home, is located in the idyllic village of Tiers, between the Sciliar/Schlern and Catinaccio/Rosengarten massifs. Surrounded by enchanting forests and lush Alpine meadows, a stay here promises tranquillity and an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s the perfect place to uncover hidden gems off the beaten track. We’ve highlighted a few must-see spots for you.

Wuhnleger
Take a one-hour hike from the hotel to the Wuhnleger, an Alpine meadow with a small lake in the heart of the Sciliar-Catinaccio/Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park that offers the very best view of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten. The view is particularly magnificent at sunset when the rose-coloured mountains are reflected in the pond.

The old watermill
At the village entrance of Tiers stands an ancient yet restored and fully operational watermill with a large millstone, the inside of which can also be viewed.

The Christomannos eagle
This three-metre-tall bronze eagle at the foot of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten pays tribute to Theodor Christomannos, a pivotal figure in the region’s tourism development.

The Sciliar-Catinaccio/Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park Visitor Centre
The Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park Visitor Centre highlights the area’s distinct geology along with its flora and fauna. It features a particularly impressive display explaining the formation of the Sciliar/Schlern Dolomite.

The Chapel of St. Zyprian
This late Romanesque chapel features a barrel vault, rounded apse, and low tower, with a 17th-century mural adorning its exterior wall.
